Let us take this time of social distance to treasure our Faith. God was distant and then he spoke the world into existence. God continues to call us back from exile and false belief systems. It is so easy to miss how wonderful our Faith is!

Pentecost Sunday
The Gospel Reading for Pentecost 2020: John 20:19-23
The Gospel
John 20:19-23When it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and the doors of the house where the disciples had met were locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” After he said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” When he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

A Sermon for the 6th Sunday in Easter: Acts 17: 22-31 The frieze around the Parthenon isn’t a birthday party. That story started in the 17th century. Today, scholars think the frieze probably depicts a procession ending in human sacrifice. St. Paul knew this, and told the people of Athens that the true God love us all, and does not want sacrifices. Jesus has already offered himself as a full, perfect, and sufficient sacrifice, oblation, and satisfaction for all our sins. Presented by Fr. Michael Gorchov Organist: Mr. Christopher Uhl Soloist: Mr. Aidan Daft Music: Hail, though once despised Jesus #495 The Hymnal 1982
