Plays, Food, and Fun
The St. Paul's Playreaders is a group that meets twice a month to share plays, food and fun. The major purpose is for the enjoyment of the members, although increasingly the play readers have given public performances. Some have been at the Beechwood Retirement Home, some for parish functions, and on one occasion a performance was given for the Sisters of the Holy Name in Albany. We read a variety of classic and contemporary plays.
The group meets on the First and Third Monday of the month from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The session is often followed by a shared meal (Chinese take-out, pizza etc.). Talent is not a prerequisite to join, simply the desire to shed one's inhibitions and have fun acting. For more information, call the Parish Office at (518) 273-7351. Please leave a message and a volunteer will return your call.
The Parish Life Committee with the St. Paul's Playreaders offer short Biblical play at coffee hours during the year.
